For me photography is about experiencing moments of deep joy.
Being open to beauty makes me see and feel deeply and differently, also in other areas of life.
It enhances my sensitivity to the unique qualities of a place, situation or person.

Having a camera with me intensifies the experience of beauty. That in itself makes me happy.
I tend to lose track of time while being present for visual surprises. Just following my feeling
and paying attention to what somehow stops me on my way is such an effortless, joyful process.
And the pictures are the icing on the cake.

My smartphone is my most important gear nowadays.
Yes, I trust my iPhone to do most of the job my “big boy” camera and lenses used to do.
Lightweight, always at hand, simple and performing miracles.
Its camera contributes greatly to joy and gratitude in my everyday life.
The only drawback is that this camera not only takes pictures, but also rings.

We all have our smartphone at hand at all times.
The very same device that often pulls us out of the moment
